EV Across America Adds a Monthly Screen-Health Report to Every 2027 Charger-Screen Buy
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WINDSOR, CO — October 20, 2026 — EV Across America has made a monthly screen-health report a standard deliverable on every 2027 insertion order across its network of more than 6,000 digital advertising screens at EV charging stations nationwide. The report lists, station by station, the days each contracted screen was live, the ad rotations served in each contracted daypart, and any station that fell below its contracted share of live time, with the make-good credit applied on the same statement.
The change answers a question media buyers could not previously settle at the contract stage: whether a paid rotation on a dark or impaired screen is billed as delivered. Under the new deliverable, it is not. A screen that misses its live-time threshold appears on the report as a credit line rather than an invoice line, and the buyer sees the station-level detail behind the number instead of a single network-wide availability figure.
“Advertisers don’t buy a network map, they buy what actually plays,” said Dan Kost, founder of EV Across America. “If a screen is down for four days, that should show up on the statement as four days of credit, not as a number we ask the client to take on faith. We would rather hand over the station list and let a buyer check it.”
The report ships as a standing document rather than a request-only audit. Buyers on 2027 orders receive it monthly for the length of the flight, and the historical months are available to agencies running a mid-flight review or rebuilding a budget line for the following cycle.
What the Monthly Report Contains
Each statement covers the same four items, formatted for direct comparison across months:
- Station-level live time. Days each contracted screen was operational during the reporting month.
- Rotation counts by daypart. Ad plays served inside the dayparts named in the insertion order, so a morning-weighted buy is reported on morning performance rather than a blended average.
- Shortfall flags. Any station below its contracted live-time threshold, listed individually rather than folded into a network figure.
- Credit applied. The make-good value carried on the same statement as the invoice, so the credit does not require a separate reconciliation.
The report is generated from screen telemetry and reconciled against the contracted placement schedule before it is issued, so the shortfall lines and the credit lines describe the same events.
Why Screen Health Belongs on the Invoice
A charger-screen buy is priced on dwell: the driver is parked and standing for the length of a charge, which is what separates the channel from passing-impression outdoor inventory. That dwell only pays if the screen is live. A station’s station count, its location and its foot traffic can all be accurate while a specific contracted screen in a specific contracted month sits dark.
“A dark screen is the one failure in this channel that leaves no trace in a standard delivery report,” said Dan Kost, founder of EV Across America. “The impression count looks fine because nobody was there to serve it. Putting live time on the same statement as the rotation count is the only way a buyer sees it without asking.”
Planners vetting any charging network can apply the same test to a prospective order: ask for station-level live time by month, ask which dayparts the counts are drawn from, and ask whether the credit lands on the same document as the invoice. Those three answers separate a network that can report on itself from one that can only describe its footprint.
Availability for the 2027 Calendar
The 2027 inventory window remains open across the network’s grocery-anchored, retail, theater and other high-traffic host sites. Standing-dwell placements are contracted by month and daypart, and monthly screen-health reporting applies to all orders placed inside the window.
